Hey, what do you usually have for lunch?
*forced smile*
What are you going to eat for lunch today?
Nothing.
What does that mean? I mean, why?
I don’t have money.
My downhearted conversation with 23-year-old who is pregnant with second child. Don’t have money to eat lunch – this sentence cracked my heart.
We eat at least four times a day. Have comfy house to live in. We enjoy expenses for junk foods and movies. And then there are millions of people on the same planet who have to skip daily lunch and dinner because they can’t skip paying monthly bills.
Do we respect the privileges we have? Are we thankful for the life we have? The life that millions dream of?
Period.
